About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation began a project in 1990 at the Neve Ya’acov Junior High School to provide psychological counselling services to individual students, teachers, supervisors and the school’s crisis-intervention team. The program later developed to provide psychologists to help junior high school teachers identify and assist students who are falling between the cracks academically and socially. By 2004, the program had grown to serve junior high school students in several neighborhoods, including the Audre Rapoport Givat Gonen High School, the Gymnasia Ha’ivrit Comprehensive High School, the Esther Greenberg School and the Pisgat Ze’ev High School, including approximately 500 students.
