About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation built the Ruth & Leon Davidoff Swimming Pool and the Amparo & Max Shein Hall, a facility for basketball, martial arts, gymnastics and other sports and community events, in 1989. The sports facilities are part of the Petrie Civic, Education & Sports Center. The $3.4 million construction project created the most modern swimming pool and best equipped sport hall of any neighborhood complex in the city. The Foundation supported renovation of the facility 1995-1997.
