About the project

Shilo, Jerusalem’s family planning education and counseling center, was established in Jerusalem in 1976 to provide assistance to couples facing unplanned pregnancies. Since then, the organization has expanded its goals to include birth control and sex education, contraception provision, and lobbying for women’s reproductive rights. Shilo’s services include educational programming to more than 3,000 adolescents, individual counseling to approximately 1,500 clients and a contraceptive clinic used by 500 young women each year.
