About the project
The Shu’afat Community Center was established in 1973 in two schools in Shu’afat. The center provided programs for youth and adults, including art, dance, music and drama programs, language courses, lectures, films, sports and social gatherings. The center was managed within the framework and under the supervision of the International Cultural Center for Youth, but was directed by and employed local community members. The center’s services were incoporated into those of the Beit Hanina Community Center in 1996.
