German Colony, 12A Emek Refa'im st.

About the project

The International Cultural Center for Youth was established to encourage international understanding and mutual friendship among youth. Today it serves as a community center for the German Colony and surrounding neighborhoods, offering adult education courses, after school programs, camps and more. The Jerusalem Foundation has supported various activities at the center over the years, including art and culture workshops held in connection with the Beit David Cultural & Community Center to bring together Arab and Jewish children and a youth leadership program. In 1995, it supported the Ilanot Extended School Day Project for Children with Cerebral Palsy, which brings twenty children from the Harry & Abe Sherman (Ilanot) School to the center each week for enrichment activities. It also supported renovations to the center to make this program possible.
After joining the Association of Community Centers and renovations to the building in 2008 the ICCY reopened as Beit Yehudit Ginot Ha Ir Community Center. For Further information see: Beit Yehudit.
