About the project

Yedidya (Friend of God) Synagogue is a 150-family modern Orthodox congregation founded in 1980 by British and American immigrants. The community is concerned both with democracy in Israeli society and traditional Jewish values. Through its social vision, Yedidya attempts to cross the conventional boundaries that currently define Jewish religious life in Israel. Yedidya offers weekday, Shabbat, and holiday services led by its members.
