About the project
The Young Leadership Program for Ethiopian Youth was established in 2000 to provide young Ethiopian immigrants with opportunities for personal growth and tools to become future leaders. 30-50 young adults participate twice weekly in the program, which includes homework help and supplemental studies, seminars, drama and other activities to nurture positive values, the importance of leadership, volunteerism and taking responsibility, and the evils of violence, drugs and alcohol. The program takes place at the Beit Nechemiah Youth Center, the Shein-Davidoff Community Center, the Scheuer-Bressler Youth & Community Center and the Baka-Mekor Chaim Community Center.
