The Jerusalem Foundation established the Gonenim Community Center in the Katamon Dalet neighborhood in 1979 to residents of the Katamonim neighborhoods. The Foundation has supported renovations to the facility since, including to its day care center. It also has supported after school, adult education and neighborhood empowerment programs. The center oversees the Leo Hofmann Senior Citizens’ Center, which is located behind it.
