About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation helped establish the Max & Fannie Targ Music Center, a focal point of music activities and chamber music recitals in the village of Ein Kerem, in 1970. The center was founded in 1968 by the duo-pianists Bracha Eden and Alexander Tamir, who have performed worldwide, recorded extensively and teach at the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music & Dance.The center offers concerts, symposia, seminars, live broadcasts and competitions in an intimate, 100-seat recital hall and promotes the work of young Israeli and new immigrant musicians and composers.
