About the project
The Betty T. & Herbert H. Schiff Garden is a four-acre park and playground that is part of a cluster of three Jerusalem Foundation-created parks in the San Simon neighborhood (the Koret Park and the Zarem Garden are the others.) The park was designed with several terraced areas to accommodate the sloping site. A linear walkway with benches and shade pergolas connects the adjacent United Home for the Aged with the nearby Koret Park on the park’s upper area while play equipment is located on lower terraces. Benches, ping pong tables and other equipment have been donated by the donors’ family and friends to mark special occasions. Transparent Box, a tree house created by Uri Sinai & Gilad Lavi was added to the park in 1997.
