About the project
The Jerusalem Foundation created the Dorothy & Maurice Halperin Garden & Playground in 1978 to serve neighborhood residents, particularly those of an adjacent apartment complex. Since then, additional apartment buildings and two kindergartens have been built near the garden, which includes play equipment, benches and landscaping. An upper play area was built later to meet growing needs and the park was further extended in 2003.
