About the project

The Sir Charles Clore Library is a public library built next to the Beth Avraham Community Center. The Jerusalem Foundation helped establish the library in 1983, overseeing construction of the building and providing furnishings and equipment. In 1993, the Foundation supported conversion of an upper floor veranda to an activity hall and seniors’ club to serve approximately 300 senior citizens who come for holiday celebrations, classes and more. The Foundation also has provided books for the English language section of the library on a regular basis. Together with the Beth Avraham Community Center, the Djanogly Swimming Pool, and the Leon Fiszman Center, the library forms a complex of educational and recreational facilities for residents of the Ramot neighborhood.
