Founded with the with the generous support of the William S. Paley Foundation, the Goldie Paley Arts Center is the preeminent cultural institution in East Jerusalem. It is the only municipal art center in the area, providing Arab residents a range of artistic and cultural outlets and educational programs. The center’s vision is to be a bridge between contemporary art and East Jerusalem communities, some of Jerusalem’s most vulnerable and underrepresented, serving as a home for the local creative community and a platform for multidisciplinary art, professional training and innovation.
Through far-reaching community and education programming for all ages, a gallery giving a stage to local young artists and a quality theater featuring classics translated to Arabic and original plays, the center offers a fresh breath of culture, positive outlets and inspiration.
